Forensic Services

The issue of psychological injury in both litigation and criminal proceedings is ever increasing. Co-existence of other psychiatric disorders, vulnerability factors for developing posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), malingering, and quantifying the disability are among the complications facing forensic evaluations of PTSD.

Dr. Goguen performs comprehensive, objective forensic assessments that utilize psychometrically sound measures and structured interviews. Current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-IV-TR) diagnostic criteria for PTSD (or other trauma-related disorders) is utilized when addressing the claimant’s reported functional impairment/criminal behavior.
